Maritime industry & international commercial law

Axel's specialisations are dispute resolution in the maritime industry and international commercial law. His experience covers P&I, admiralty and dry shipping matters, disputes under charterparties and contracts of carriage, as well as shipbuilding and repair contracts. He also advises and represents suppliers and engineering firms in the maritime and offshore industries in the context of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and disputes subject to English and German law. Axel has long standing experience handling shipping and commercial disputes involving both English and German law in the English and German courts and major arbitration centres.
Not being affiliated to any firm or partnership, he will also accept appointments as arbitrator or mediator (Axel is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator) in disputes involving English and/or German law.
